Keeper Security’s Expansion to Japan Paying Off as Annual Recurring Revenue in Japanese Market Grows 3x

Business Expansion Accelerates Across APAC Amidst Rising Demand for Zero-Trust Security

As interest in zero-trust security rapidly increases, Keeper Security APAC, K.K. (APAC headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Senior Vice President, APAC Sales and Japan Country Manager, Takanori Nishiyama, hereinafter “Keeper”) is achieving remarkable growth across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, with Japan as its key market.

Keeper Security offers identity and access security solutions including KeeperPAM, a cloud-native Privileged Access Management (PAM) product that protects passwords, passkeys, privileged accounts, secrets and remote connections. With cyber-attacks targeting credentials on the rise, enterprise and public sector organisations across APAC are rapidly accelerating investments in Keeper’s zero-trust security solutions.

“As cyberattacks intensify across APAC, organisations are increasingly recognising that not adopting zero-trust is itself a risk,” said Takanori Nishiyama, Senior Vice President of APAC Sales and Japan Country Manager at Keeper Security. “Our rapid growth in Japan and the APAC region demonstrates how seriously our customers take privileged access management. Going forward, we will continue to deliver secure, transparent and flexible solutions.”

Deployment of a Security Platform to Prevent Confidential Information Leaks

According to Japan’s National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), cyberattacks exploiting stolen credentials remain a serious and growing issue. Examples include phishing attacks that steal credentials, unauthorised access through password reuse across multiple services and the misuse of stolen login information by third parties.

Such attacks exploit weak identity management and access controls across many organisations to target sensitive information and critical systems. Keeper Security addresses these threats with security based on zero-trust and zero-knowledge architecture, providing comprehensive protection for passwords, passkeys, secrets, privileged accounts and remote connections.

Keeper Security APAC Growth Strategy Centred on Headquarters in Tokyo

In 2023, Keeper Security established its APAC headquarters at “Prime Terrace KAMIYACHO” in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Serving as a regional hub for Japan, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the office brings together functions such as sales, marketing, customer success and support.

This structure strengthens data protection and compliance measures in each region and supports the development of cybersecurity infrastructure across the entire APAC region.

Rapid Growth and Workforce Expansion in the Japanese Market

With interest in zero-trust security surging, Keeper’s presence in the Japanese market is expanding rapidly. Keeper Security APAC’s Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) has tripled over the past year and the number of customers has also increased.

The Tokyo office workforce has grown by 60% in the past year, enhancing support for enterprise customers, channel partners and public sector organisations in Japan.

Broader Product Deployment and Stronger Partnerships

Keeper’s growth in APAC is driven by broader adoption of its core products, including KeeperPAM and Keeper Password Manager, along with the strengthening of its partner ecosystem. In addition to existing partners, Keeper has expanded collaboration with several new KeeperPAM partners since this year, including TechVan Co., Ltd., ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC) and Ascentech K.K., among others. Through these alliances, Keeper is expanding its reach across a wide range of markets from small and mid-sized businesses to large enterprises.

This partner ecosystem includes distributors and system integrators that support industries such as finance, manufacturing, telecommunications and government.

Further Market Expansion Across APAC

Keeper Security is also focusing on growth markets such as South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia, enhancing multilingual support systems, strengthening compliance with local regulations and deepening collaboration with local partners.

In addition, data centres located in Japan and Australia ensure both data sovereignty and low-latency operations.
