Avanade Partners New Microsoft Sentinel Platform to Bring AI Agent to Market

Selected Based on World-Leading Experience with Microsoft Security Technologies, Ability to Provide Impactful Feedback, and More

Avanade, the leading Microsoft solutions provider, has announced its design partnership with Microsoft in the new Microsoft Sentinel platform and as a Security Copilot depth partner. Avanade was selected based on its world-leading experience with Microsoft Security technologies, ability to explore and provide impactful feedback and insights on cutting-edge functionality, and its close relationship with Microsoft.

Avanade is working with Microsoft product teams to shape the Sentinel platform and Security Copilot platform product development, including validation of new scenarios, feedback on product operations, and API extensibility, while also extending Sentinel and Security Copilot’s capabilities as part of the partner ecosystem. By creating solutions such as new Security Copilot AI agents, Sentinel connectors, analytics rules, playbooks, hunting queries, Jupyter notebook jobs, and evolving its agents to leverage Sentinel’s new data lake, graph capabilities, as well as its new MCP server options for agent-to-agent communications, Avanade is helping make innovation accessible to customers worldwide.

Avanade Launches Three Agents

Avanade is pleased to announce the launch of its first three agents ready for clients, which will also soon be available in the new Microsoft Security Store:

  1. Sentinel Analytics Optimiser – Cut the Noise, Boost Efficiency

  2. Threat Shield – Threat Intelligence-Driven SOC Coverage

  3. Endpoint Risk Insights – From Detection to Direction

Jason Revill, Global Security Practice Technology Lead at Avanade, said: “Our involvement as a design partner in Microsoft’s Sentinel Platform and Security Copilot Agents signals our deep relationship with Microsoft, and our leading position as a driver of innovation within cybersecurity. Now more than ever, prioritising digital advancements in the cybersecurity space, in the wake of a multitude of cyber breaches taking place globally, is extremely important. We are looking forward to being a part of Microsoft’s journey to becoming the security data and AI layer of choice for our clients, creating the foundations for Security AI Agents to thrive. This is particularly of value to mid-market organisations, whose cyber platforms and teams are often stretched, and struggle to ready themselves for evolving cyber threats and adoption of new technology that can help mitigate risk, such as the new Sentinel Platform, which can make security data more accessible, whilst enabling Security Copilot agents to be more effective in defending the organisation.”

Vasu Jakkal, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Security, added: “We have reimagined Microsoft Sentinel as an AI-ready platform, unifying security data into a single, enriched data lake that delivers graph-powered visibility and intelligent agent capabilities. This transformation positions Microsoft Sentinel as the backbone of modern defence, offering deep context, connected insights, and empowering security teams to act with precision, and stay ahead of evolving threats. This transformation is amplified by a vibrant partner ecosystem. We are grateful to our partners that use Microsoft Sentinel to create integrated solutions. This collaboration powers a collective defence, because after all, security is a team sport.”

Microsoft Sentinel is evolving beyond its traditional role as a SIEM, to also be a data lake-powered, AI-ready platform, equipping defenders with unified security data, intelligent reasoning tools to help agents interpret data, and enriched context through graph-powered visibility. By bringing all these features together, Microsoft Sentinel now provides a scalable backbone for modern defence.
