Singtel and Fortinet Collaborate to Provide Cybersecurity Solutions on Paragon Platform Marketplace
Singtel and Fortinet, the global cybersecurity leader driving the convergence of networking and security, are collaborating to bring Fortinet’s advanced cybersecurity solutions to Singtel’s Paragon Platform Marketplace, its app store for enterprise solutions, following the successful completion of onboarding requirements.
5G technology, with its higher speed, reliability and unique capabilities such as network slicing, is accelerating enterprise digital transformation around the world. To make this game-changing technology more accessible to enterprises, Singtel developed Paragon, the industry’s first all-in-one orchestration platform for 5G, edge computing and cloud. Paragon significantly reduces the complexity, cost and time needed to deploy and manage low-latency applications and services, lowering the barriers to entry for enterprises to adopt 5G.
The collaboration will see Singtel combine its advanced network capabilities with Fortinet’s leading security technologies, including its FortiGate VM Next Generation Firewall, to offer plug-and-play cyber security solutions to Singtel Paragon enterprise users. By extending the Fortinet Security Fabric to Singtel’s Paragon Platform, customers will gain new options for secure deployment of 5G and Multi-Access Edge computing applications.
Mr Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo, said, “Enterprises worldwide face a growing threat from increasingly sophisticated bad actors. To mitigate the risk of their intellectual property and customers’ personal data being peddled on the dark web, a resilient cyber security posture is a business imperative. Our collaboration with Fortinet brings tested, enterprise-grade solutions to the Paragon Platform Marketplace, which Paragon customers can leverage to protect themselves from these threats. We will continue to actively work with leading technology companies to make available their solutions on our Paragon Platform Marketplace, so enterprises can digitalise with confidence.”
Mr Vishak Raman, Vice President of Sales, India, SEA & ANZ, Fortinet, said, “This initiative is a testament to our shared vision of a digitally secure world and sets new standards in cybersecurity, particularly for 5G networks, which are the backbone of modern digital infrastructures. Together with Singtel, we’re not only reinforcing existing defences but also innovating to address the evolving threats in the digital and 5G domains. Our collaboration is a proactive step towards safeguarding the digital world, ensuring that our advanced security solutions are perfectly attuned to the unique requirements of this new technological age.”
Fortinet’s security solutions will undergo evaluation and validation within Singtel’s 5G security lab to ensure that Paragon customers receive reliable and effective security solutions, ready for immediate deployment. Fortinet’s solutions are available for take-up immediately, with more to be made available progressively.
