Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) and Mastercard continue their strategic collaboration with the Human Resource Development Agency for Communication and Digital (BPSDM Komdigi) of the Ministry of Communications and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemkomdigi) by launching a digital literacy training module through a Learning Management System (LMS) integrated with the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) platform. This collaboration aims to strengthen the national digital ecosystem by preparing one million Indonesian digital talents by 2029 through inclusive and accessible training for all segments of society.

Boni Pudjianto, Head of BPSDM Komdigi, Kemkomdigi, Republic of Indonesia, said: “We are proud to once again collaborate with Indosat in building Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. The government is committed to creating a digital environment that is inclusive, secure, and resilient to cyber threats. Through this tripartite collaboration with Indosat and Mastercard, we are laying a strong foundation to prepare one million Indonesian digital talents who are ready to face future challenges and support national digital economic growth.”

Kemkomdigi’s DTS offers a variety of open training modules, including basic to intermediate-level digital literacy and cybersecurity. Building on last year’s collaboration, this initiative strengthens efforts to create a safe and inclusive digital space. With its integration into the LMS, the initiative reinforces a sustained commitment to boosting digital literacy and cybersecurity resilience in Indonesia. Each module is designed with practical, easy-to-apply approaches and is aimed at the general public and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Irsyad Sahroni, Director and Chief Human Resources Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, added: “This collaboration is a tangible demonstration of Indosat’s commitment to expanding access to digital education in Indonesia. We are proud to be part of this national initiative alongside Mastercard and Kemkomdigi to develop a generation of digital talents who are competitive and capable of maintaining digital safety.”

Indosat, Mastercard to Teach Fundamental Skills

Training participants will learn fundamental skills such as identifying cyber risks, updating devices and security systems, creating strong passwords, and avoiding phishing and malware attacks. Upon completing the learning modules, participants will receive a certificate, with all materials delivered in Bahasa Indonesia.

Aileen Goh, Country Manager, Mastercard Indonesia, shared: “Mastercard believes that digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness are key elements in building national digital resilience. This program reflects Mastercard’s commitment to raising cybersecurity awareness among Indonesians from diverse backgrounds by providing free basic cybersecurity training. We appreciate the dedication of Kemkomdigi and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison in forging this partnership and implementing the initiative.”

As part of their shared commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s cybersecurity, Indosat and Mastercard had previously launched the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (COE)—an initiative to enhance public awareness and understanding of cybersecurity free of charge. This initiative reinforces both parties’ commitment to broadening digital inclusion and enhancing national cyber resilience through structured, inclusive, and future-ready training programs.
