Code 7 Launches CODE7 Protection App To Provide Community Response Services and Create a Safer Local Community

The world’s first community response and safety technology platform, Code 7, recently announced the launch of their inter-ecosystem digital app called CODE7 Protection App to integrate community response services into one single platform. Code 7 provides a range of services to assist Malaysian communities – both residents and businesses, with community response services such as stranger approach, loitering, CCTV/alarm alert, and emergency assistance, with just a swipe of the button.

Imagine being part of a vulnerable community, where you constantly worry about your safety and the possibility of becoming a victim of crime or accidents. Unfortunately, this fear is a reality for many individuals, including the elderly, single women, and people with disabilities. This app is a much-needed safety measure that can be a lifesaver in times of emergency. It allows people from vulnerable communities to quickly access assistance from their community, ensuring that they receive the help they need as soon as possible.

Code 7 aspires to enhance and upgrade Malaysia’s safety and security standards to the next level, making everyone’s safety and well-being their top priority. The mobile app allows anyone who downloads and subscribes to the platform to request unlimited community response services at very affordable rates.

Some of the unique features provided by the application include fuss-free, Respond-to-Protect (RTP) services if there is even a suspicion of a potential threat where customers will be able to request for home protection and scheduled patrolling whenever they require extra protective measures.

Users will be able to access real-time location tracking of Code 7 responders, as well as be able to have two-way communication with the responders in case there is an emergency situation that requires immediate assistance. This feature can be especially useful in situations where customers are unable to provide their location or maybe in ultimate danger.

Dato’ Patrick Ong Kee Seng, Founder of Code 7 shared, “As of 2023, we have registered over 4,000 responders across the nation who are trained to handle the highest standard of community response measures and a variety of security situations. The majority of them are retired military personnel veterans who have undergone extensive training to ensure they are fully equipped to handle emergencies and security threats in a timely and effective manner. We are also extending opportunities to over 128,000 veterans of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), as well as any Malaysians from the ages of 18 to 60, to join our responder team and enhance Malaysia’s safety and security standards.”

A variety of affordable subscription plan packages are available, starting at just RM35/month, giving individuals and businesses of all sizes the chance to find a plan that not only fits their budget but also their safety and security needs.

We are informed that most security plans can become quite costly, and we set out to be one of the services in Malaysia that allows people of all socioeconomic backgrounds to benefit from our community response, safety and security offerings. With the high crime index in Malaysia, we are also working to extend our platform’s coverage to a broader range of Malaysian customers, including those in Sabah and Sarawak. We hope to help as many people in Malaysia as possible and give them the assurance that comes from knowing they have a dependable community response, safety and security provider looking out for them,” continued Dato’ Patrick.

As of 2023, Code 7 has joined forces with 13 security firms with a shared goal of creating a safer community in Malaysia. The company hopes to recruit more security companies to their network by the end of the year.

Building on government efforts to improve safety and security

The Malaysian government has taken various steps to improve safety and security in the country, including increasing police presence and implementing crime prevention initiatives. However, it is still important for communities to take necessary precautions to avoid becoming victims of crime.

Aligned with the Malaysia Madani concept, which is led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the CODE7 Protection App is a prime example of a visionary concept that strives to establish a fair and impartial society for all citizens. The objective is to promote prosperity (kesejahteraan) and compassion (ihsan), as the app aims to provide assistance to those in need, including people with disabilities and the less fortunate, ensuring that support is accessible when it is needed the most.

Code 7 is seeking to build on this momentum by launching a crowdfunding campaign through PitchIN to raise funds to expand its suite of digital security services in Malaysia. The campaign aims to raise between RM500,000 and RM5,000,000 over a five-year period. At the end of this period, subscribers may choose to redeem their shares in cash or convert them to ordinary shares in the company.

With the additional funding, Code 7 hopes to further enhance the safety and security of Malaysian communities through its innovative and accessible digital security services.
