Hackuity Launches Upgraded Threat Intelligence Platform, Covering Thousands of New Vulnerabilities

Hackuity, the risk-based vulnerability management provider, announced the launch of Hackuity 2.0, its next-generation platform, featuring major enhancements to bring further support to organisations in prioritising risks.

Hackuity’s intelligent Risk-Based Vulnerability Management (RBVM) platform combines threat intelligence, vulnerability severity, and unique business context, providing organisations with a quantified, measurable ‘True Risk Score’ (TRS) – now further refined – for the most accurate insight into risks. This helps IT teams prioritise threat remediation specific to their attack surfaces and allocate their resources where most needed.

“The pressure on security teams to quickly risk-assess vulnerabilities is intense. The sheer magnitude of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), coupled with a talent shortage, makes it increasingly difficult for IT and security teams to make sense of their data and this is only going to get more challenging. With Hackuity 2.0, we look forward to better-supporting organisations in strengthening their cybersecurity posture and making sense of their threat prioritisation and attack surface,” said Sylvain Cortes, VP of Strategy, Hackuity.

The release of Hackuity 2.0 comes at a time when the number of detected CVEs continues to increase year on year. Asia Pacific (APAC) was identified as the most attacked region last year, accounting for 31 per cent of attacks globally. While these cyberattacks were mainly targeted at computers, servers and network equipment, 22 per cent of the attackers successfully hacked web resources using known vulnerabilities or compromised credentials – which could have easily been prevented through early detection, risk assessment and prioritisation.

The major advancements in Hackuity 2.0 help teams meet these challenges with features in several ways:

  • TRS brings greater clarity and CVSS noise reduction: Enhancing user clarity by reducing findings, decreasing CVSS ‘noise’ by 96% with TRS risk prioritisation technology, and enabling seamless scale switching between Legacy CVSS and TRS scoring.
  • Additional context on CVEs: Providing a comprehensive risk assessment of vulnerabilities with a rich CVE database, Smart Exposure Explorer (SmartEx²) for contextual KPIs, and enhanced granularity via Threat Bots using CTI data.
  • Improved remediation features: Enhancing team management and simplifying the scaling of vulnerability fixes through the application of role-based access models to remediation campaigns.
  • Revamped user interface: Delivering a user-friendly and modern interface that aligns with Hackuity’s forward-thinking identity.
  • New Connectors: Introducing new connectors for prominent Cloud security solutions like Wiz, Prisma Cloud, and IoT/OT solution Claroty, alongside numerous others.
  • SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance: Achieving SOC 2, Type 1 certification that underscores Hackuity’s commitment and ability to secure client data.

Cortes added, “This launch marks a major evolution in the platform and delivers new capabilities to help teams zero in with confidence on the risks that really matter to their own business. With the number of vulnerabilities continuing to soar, bringing order to chaos and having the clearest possible view of all cyber risks – on a single pane – has never been more important.”

Unifying and interpreting data sources through integrations with more than 70 market-leading tools, Hackuity’s feature-rich RBVM platform provides a single pane of glass view for mapping threat exposure. This is enhanced by its proprietary TRS algorithm to significantly reduce the number of critical vulnerabilities that need to be addressed urgently and automate vulnerability-related tasks to streamline teams’ operations.

Moving ahead, Hackuity is capitalising on the competitive advantages offered by its Attack Path Monitoring project’s disruptive innovations. The company’s ambition is to generate over 50 per cent of its business internationally by the end of 2024, and position Hackuity as a leader in the global RBVM market.
