Tanium Adds Workday CIO Rani Johnson and TPG Partner Tim Millikin to Board of Directors
Tanium, the industry’s leading provider of Converged Endpoint Management (XEM), today announced the appointment of two board members, Rani Johnson and Tim Millikin. With Johnson’s experience as CIO of Workday, Inc. and as a Tanium customer, and with Millikin’s experience investing in and growing leading software companies as a partner at TPG, the two will bring industry-leading strategy and expertise to help guide the company through its next stage of accelerated growth.

Rani Johnson is the Chief Information Officer of Workday Inc., a leading provider of solutions to help organizations manage their people and money, where she is responsible for the company’s global IT function. Johnson will bring over 25 years of IT and cybersecurity experience with her, including IT leadership roles at Cloud Software Group, TIBCO, SolarWinds, Lower Colorado River Authority, Austin Energy, Ventyx and NASA. As a CIO who previously selected the Tanium platform to help her organization gain increased visibility and control while reducing complexity and risk, Rani will uniquely help represent the ‘voice of the customer’ on the Tanium board.
Tim Millikin is a partner at TPG, with more than 15 years at the global alternative asset management firm. Millikin co-leads the firm’s investment activity in software and enterprise technology and has helped establish the franchise as market-leading. He has distinct expertise in cybersecurity and has led TPG to invest more than $3 billion of equity in the space, including the firm’s investment in Tanium.
Millikin has served as a Board member or observer in several high-profile TPG investments, such as McAfee, Everfox, Ellucian, and Elite Technologies. His industry expertise and market insight will greatly enhance the Board’s ability to help Tanium management craft an effective strategy and guide the company’s growth.
