Zscaler Is The First Vendor to Achieve Highest Level of Singapore’s New Cloud Security Certification
Zscaler, Inc., the leader in cloud security, has announced that it is the only cybersecurity vendor to receive the Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard (MTCS) Level 3 certification under the Software-as-a-Service (Saas) category. The MTCS Certification Scheme was developed by the Information Technology Standards Committee (ITSC). Helmed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the certification provides a three-tiered security standard for cloud services providers to adhere to for sound risk management and security practices.
There has been an increased focus on implementing zero-trust strategies across numerous public sector organisations globally – especially in light of the increasing number of cyberattack campaigns being launched by threat groups. In support of Zscaler’s commitment to helping organisations in their pursuit of driving security transformation, the cloud security leader has been ramping up investments in international markets.
As the only cloud security vendor with the MTCS Level 3 certification, the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform meets the security requirements of high impact use cases by regulated organisations and the government in Singapore. This certification allows our customers to deploy the zero-trust platform solution without being concerned about adherence to compliance and security requirements.
Along with the MTCS certification, all core Zscaler solutions comply with the U.S. Federal government’s FedRAMP program at High and Moderate levels, as well as with NIST 800-63C, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-207, and other certifications by large international government agencies in Germany, Australia, U.K. and more.
“Zscaler is thrilled to have received the highest certification for the MTCS security standard. As part of our mission to provide our customers with best-of-breed security solutions, we have implemented rigorous security, availability, and privacy standards so customers can easily adopt our services,” said Kumar Selvaraj, Vice President, Global Security Compliance, Zscaler. “Zscaler prides itself on achieving the highest level of compliance in each of the markets we operate and these certifications are a testament to the strict security standards Zscaler adheres to day-in, day-out.”
“As a leading hub in both the Asia Pacific and the ASEAN region, Singapore has become an attractive target for threat actors when it comes to launching cyber-attack campaigns. It is deeply heartening to see the gravity with which the government in Singapore is evolving its cybersecurity framework and policies,” added Karen Chong, Regional Vice President, ASEAN & GCR, Zscaler.
“With news of cyber vulnerabilities hitting the headlines with greater frequency now, we are committed to helping the Singapore government and organisations as they double down on zero trust transformation. With this certification, we are well positioned to support our growing base of customers in the region on their digital security journeys.”
