AI-Driven Security Operations Arrive in Malaysia as Arctic Wolf Accelerates APAC Growth

Expanding Cybersecurity Footprint in Malaysia with Managed Detection and Response to Help Organisations Prevent Advanced Persistent Threats and Automate Labour-Intensive Workflows

Arctic Wolf®, a global leader in security operations, has announced the availability of Managed Detection and Response as the next investment in the Malaysian market, marking a major milestone in its Asia-Pacific growth strategy. This launch comes one year after Arctic Wolf’s acquisition of Cylance® endpoint security assets from BlackBerry, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering AI-powered cybersecurity solutions worldwide.

Arctic Wolf Partners with Ingram Micro

To support this expansion, Arctic Wolf has partnered with Ingram Micro Malaysia and Anon Security, two leading distributors in the Malaysian market. These relationships will enable Arctic Wolf to deliver its full portfolio of security operations solutions—including Managed Detection and Response, Managed Risk, Managed Security Awareness, Incident Response, and Aurora Endpoint Security—to organisations across Malaysia.

“As organisations face increasingly complex cyber threats, Arctic Wolf is committed to helping Malaysian businesses of all sizes operationalise security, not just deploy tools,” said Nick Schneider, President and CEO of Arctic Wolf. “Our expansion into Malaysia, alongside trusted partners Ingram Micro Malaysia and Anon Security, ensures that customers have access to world-class security operations capabilities that combine AI-driven technology with human expertise.”

Ingram Micro Malaysia shared its perspective on the strategic alliance:

“Cybersecurity is a top priority for Malaysian businesses, and Arctic Wolf’s solutions are well aligned with the needs of our customers,” said Yoon Kam Fei, Executive Managing Director at Ingram Micro Malaysia. “We are proud to work with Arctic Wolf to deliver advanced security operations that help organisations strengthen resilience and achieve better outcomes.”

Anon Security emphasised the strategic importance of the collaboration: “Partnering with Arctic Wolf allows us to bring a new level of security maturity to our customers,” said Bernard Foong, Managing Director, Anon Security. “Together, we will help Malaysian businesses reduce risk and build long-term resilience in an increasingly challenging threat landscape.”

This announcement underscores Arctic Wolf’s partner-first go-to-market strategy and its mission to end cyber risk globally. With the addition of Malaysia, Arctic Wolf now serves thousands of organisations across Asia-Pacific, leveraging the Arctic Wolf Aurora Platform® and one of the world’s largest commercial Security Operations Centres to deliver 24×7 monitoring, detection, and response.

Malaysia Threat Landscape Highlights Urgent Security Challenges

Coinciding with the company’s Malaysia launch, Arctic Wolf has released new APAC-specific insights from its 2026 Threat & Predictions Report, highlighting the escalating risks facing organisations across the region. The findings reveal that small and midsize businesses (SMBs) remain disproportionately targeted in APAC, with attackers exploiting resource constraints and lower maturity levels to gain easier access to networks.

Other key findings from Arctic Wolf’s 2026 Threat & Predictions Report include:

  • SMBs account for approximately 71% of victims across APAC, with enterprise organisations comprising just over 29%.
  • Threat actor groups such as Qilin demonstrate sustained, multi-month activity, signalling a shift away from isolated campaigns towards continuous pressure on organisations throughout the year.

“The findings from our 2026 Threat Report make it clear that organisations in Malaysia are under growing pressure to advance their cybersecurity maturity,” said David Hayes, Director, APAC, at Arctic Wolf. “From managing AI-driven risks to navigating breach disclosure and responding to ransomware, businesses need more than just point solutions; they need a partner with the breadth and expertise to drive meaningful outcomes. We’re excited to officially launch in Malaysia and bring our full portfolio of security operations capabilities to help organisations reduce risk, strengthen resilience, and accelerate their security maturity.”
