Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Others Release Joint Statement on Global Cybersecurity Labelling Initiative
Representing a Collective Intetion to Promote a Trusted Global Ecosystem of Connected Devices Built on Harmonised Security Requirements

The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) issued a joint statement together with members of the Global Cybersecurity Labelling Initiative at a Global Cybersecurity Labelling Initiative Joint Statement Ceremony recently. The ceremony was held during Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2025 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
Global Cybersecurity Labelling Initiative
- The Global Cybersecurity Labelling Initiative is a multilateral cooperation forum that brings together like-minded members, representing our collective intention to promote a trusted global ecosystem of connected devices, built on harmonised security requirements that protect consumers, supports innovation, and strengthens digital resilience across borders.
- In an era of unprecedented digital connectivity, the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and connected technologies have become fundamental to the protection of consumers, businesses, and critical infrastructure globally. Given the ubiquitous use of connected devices today, securing these devices would require a coordinated, international approach.
- The Global Cybersecurity Labelling Initiative hopes to build on existing momentum in global IoT security, where numerous members are actively developing and implementing cybersecurity labelling schemes and/or regulatory frameworks. Whilst bilateral arrangements have seen important progress, a multilateral framework offers greater efficiency and scalability in view of the global nature of IoT supply chains.
- This intention to consider a common approach on requirements for IoT products references best practices from different national contexts and ensures that manufacturers can navigate cybersecurity compliance more efficiently across multiple markets.
