Cisco Launches Splunk Observability Cloud on AWS in Singapore

Helping Organisations in Singapore Simplify IT Operations, Build resilience, and Accelerate Digital Innovation with Unified Observability

Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking and security, has launched the general availability of Splunk Observability Cloud in Singapore via the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Asia Pacific (Singapore) Region, with early access available to customers since 1 August 2025. The launch comes as organisations in Singapore face increasing operational demands to support innovation, reliability, and resilient digital infrastructure.

With Splunk Observability Cloud, engineering and IT Operations teams gain unified visibility across all their environments, so they can answer questions about the performance and health of their applications, services, and infrastructure with metrics, traces and logs—all data collected through its OpenTelemetry-native platform. By turning complex data into actionable insights, Cisco empowers organisations to operate more efficiently, safeguard critical systems, and innovate with confidence.

Splunk Observability Cloud Launch Meets Rising National Standards for Resilience and Security

Building a robust and reliable digital infrastructure remains a key focus of Singapore’s updated Smart Nation policy. With the upcoming Digital Infrastructure Act, observability is expected to play an increasingly central role in helping organisations meet national standards for resilience and security. By hosting Splunk Observability Cloud on the AWS Singapore Region, enterprises can address regulatory priorities and in-country data retention requirements. Organisations in industries with  critical infrastructure and services—such as banking, transportation and telecommunications—can ensure their systems will remain highly available and performant.

According to Splunk’s most recent State of Observability report, Singapore teams launched the highest number of new digital products and services in Asia Pacific last year. At the same time, 82% of teams reported key members leaving due to burnout from operational strain, alert fatigue and other pressures.

Splunk Observability Cloud on the AWS Singapore Region will empower teams to manage these challenges by providing real-time, unsampled insights across infrastructure, applications, and users. Building on over 10 years of Splunk’s strategic collaboration with AWS, enterprises can now access far more data than ever before, query it on demand without full ingestion, and optimise cloud usage for efficiency and cost savings.

AWS Regions consist of Availability Zones that place infrastructure in separate and distinct geographic locations. Availability Zones are located far enough from each other to support customers’ business continuity, but near enough to provide low latency for high availability applications that use multiple Availability Zones. Each Availability Zone has independent power, cooling, and physical security and is connected through redundant, ultra-low-latency networks.
