ITSEC Asia Strengthens Indonesia’s Cybersecurity, AI Ecosystem Through Talent Development
Support for Local Talent and the Development of AI-Driven Cybersecurity Solutions Form Part of ITSEC Asia's Strategy to Build a Resilient and Adaptive Digital Ecosystem in Indonesia

PT ITSEC Asia Tbk has reaffirmed its commitment to developing Indonesia’s next generation of cybersecurity talent by recognising 14-year-old student Firoos Ghathfaan Ramadhan from Subang, West Java, Indonesia, who recently identified a security vulnerability in a major global digital platform.
Still in junior high school at SMP IT Al-Alamy Subang, Firoos has been learning cybersecurity independently through online resources and community collaboration. Using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques, he identified a security vulnerability involving inactive external links that could potentially be exploited for phishing or impersonation attacks. His responsible disclosure later received acknowledgment through NASA’s Vulnerability Disclosure Program, highlighting the international recognition of his cybersecurity research efforts.
Firoos was congratulated by Patrick Dannacher, President Director, during a ceremony at ITSEC Asia’s headquarters in Jakarta. As part of its ongoing Cyber Talent Program, ITSEC Asia also committed to providing Firoos with essential tools and support to further his research and technical development in cybersecurity, reinforcing the company’s efforts to nurture Indonesia’s next generation of cybersecurity talent.
ITSEC Highlights Need for Young, Top-Tier Talent
Amid rising cyber threats and rapidly evolving industry demands, the emergence of young talents like Firoos highlights Indonesia’s growing potential to compete on the global cybersecurity stage. Unlocking that potential, however, will require sustained and meaningful support from industry.
ITSEC Asia’s Cyber Talent Program is designed to identify, support and develop Indonesia’s next generation of cybersecurity professionals through mentorship, training, hands-on learning opportunities and industry engagement. The program aims to help young talent strengthen their technical capabilities, encourage innovation in cybersecurity research, and build a stronger pipeline of cyber expertise to support Indonesia’s growing digital economy.
President Director of ITSEC Asia, Patrick Dannacher, noted that the challenge in cybersecurity today goes beyond technology and increasingly centres on talent readiness.
“We often talk about cyber threats, but far less about talent readiness. The reality is, many young Indonesians have the potential to be world-class cyber talents, but they need opportunities, mentorship and the right ecosystem to grow. Through initiatives such as our Cyber Talent Program and our subsidiary, ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy, we are committed to helping nurture the next generation of Indonesian cybersecurity professionals and equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world,” he said.
The ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy focuses on bridging the gap between industry needs and talent readiness. Through practical training, certification programs and industry-led learning, the Academy aims to help develop job-ready digital talent and further strengthen the foundation of Indonesia’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
In closing, Dannacher expressed optimism about the future of Indonesia’s cyber talent, saying: “We believe the future of cybersecurity and AI in Indonesia will be shaped by the young talents of today. Our hope is that more young generations will have the opportunity to grow, innovate, and contribute to strengthening the nation’s digital resilience.”
